STRANGE NEW WORLD

CASE STUDY

When the folk-infused, grungy, atmospheric rock duo Strange New World approached Unfound Films to create imagery for their debut album, we knew their visual identity needed to reflect the layered, haunting quality of their music.

Our creative direction leaned into moody, cinematic tones, pairing natural, raw textures with controlled lighting to create an aesthetic that felt both organic and otherworldly. We chose a set environment to mirror the band’s blend of grit and fluidity, then used a muted, earthy color palette with subtle highlights to emphasize intimacy and depth.

Throughout the shoot, we captured a balance of candid energy and composed portraits. The result: a cohesive library of images, from dynamic live-action stills to introspective close-ups, that the band now uses across their album art, social channels, and promotional materials. These visuals helped set the tone for their release, introducing audiences to the distinct sonic world they’ve built.
